A year passes so quickly or does it? Funny how it seems I just did my pre-sabbatical show with Chris Scanlon a few weeks ago, and yet the calendar says it has been nearly fourteen months. How can this be? Someone once told me, that time goes faster as we get older. I’m wondering is it us getting older or is time really speeding up?
In either case, fourteen months have passed and it’s time. Yes, it’s time to step into the next chapter of my ever evolving journey. Are you stepping into what is next for you?
Taking a sabbatical or a “break” was interesting and a bit of a risk. During a break, there is no control and no way of predicting the changes that may happen while you are away; to you or that which you are taking the break from.
For me, it’s amazing to note, the external political, environmental and economic forces that happened during 2008 that caused change. On top of that, it’s interesting to note the self-generated changes. First, a new audience emerged for me, CEO’s and leaders of industry. This has been a challenge and a blast and so creatively rewarding! Next, a writing project which has been in a file for many years re-emerged (more on that later), and other creative projects have been bubbling up all around.
Also, I travelled across the country to keynote at Women’s Success Conferences, which enabled me to hear first hand what is on the hearts and minds of women. We women are amazing, complex and so powerful!
My return to television, and to CSC Studio after some “space”, allows me to bring a renewed energy, spirit, and mission; to support women in powerfully showing up in all their true beauty and femininity with grace, ease and confidence.
I am especially grateful to British Hill for her brilliance, her enthusiasm, and her willingness to step in and become an integral part of the best fashion team on television. I am so excited to spend time with and share ideas with this talented woman as we continue to collaborate on bringing the best clothes, which carry the best energy, with only the best intentions for everyone who watches both of us as we share our light on HSN.
